• Passion for me is helping others find the outer beauty they may or may not realize they have.  I love all aspects of the “beauty” world, from new technology in our hair care products to new techniques in coloring or highlighting.  The other passion that is is education.  I feel that we have not finished our job if we have not taught our guests how to take care of their hair, skin or nails and make their lives easier and healthier. 
  
  Another aspect of our industry is skin care.  I have been working with various skin care companies through the years, but over the past several years I have found that Dermalogica has been the best product line.  In addition to being a licensed cosmetologist,  I also have my Esthetician license.I am also passionate about hair color and highlighting.  I have some guests that have signed up for “Brenda O’Reilly’s hair color of the month club” which means we are always creating new styles and techniques for them on a regular basis.  To me, the only thing that remains constant is change and we all must change to fit the season, life style, trend and personal preferences.

• I specialize in makeup and hair design for makeup and photography. Other services that I offer are waxing, nail art, daytime styling.

Education/ Experience:

• My background includes teaching at a private cosmetology school, Pulaski County Career and Technical Center (Cosmetology program), and apprenticeship related studies class as well as supervising Cosmetology apprentices in our salon.
  
  I have also been trained in color analysis and image consultation.  In the past I have managed a cosmetic studio, worked as a sales consultant in a woman’s clothing store.
  
  I believe in keeping current in all aspects of the business of image.  The more I learn, the more I know there is more to learn.  I attend classes quarterly either in salon, at a destination, or on line so I can be a source of information for my guests.
  
  My experience also includes make up for TV (ESPN Game Day), hair and makeup for a music video recording, post card for Optician office, catalog for bonus products for a car parts company, for example.  I have worked with photographers over the years with weddings and other special occasions.
  
  For the past several years I have been working with Carlson Wagonlit Travel from Lynchburg.  I have a Satellite Office in the salon so I can assist our guests with their travel needs from destination travel to cruises.
  
  Most recent certification is Jane Iredale University: Advanced Artistry Expert Eyes 2008 and In Salon Goldwell Color Class 2009.

Hobbies/ Interests:

• My hobbies include cake decorating, herb and flower gardening, drawing and photography.  My passion for designing and creating spills over from my younger days of working with my Mom in the flower shop.
